Brockport, NY – The Brockport wrestling team is set to travel to SUNY Oneonta for the New York State Collegiate Championships on Saturday, November 23rd for a 9am start where the team will compete against 28 other schools.
Oswego Recap – Back on November 9th, the Golden Eagles took the 30-17 win at Oswego State against the Lakers where Head Coach
Troy Seymour picked up the first dual win of his career in Brockport helping the team start out the season at 1-0.
Liam Bullock gained some points for the Green and Gold in the 125lb division after a 10-8 decision over Ryan Devins of Oswego.
Jaden Friel also took a win in the 149 match by fall just 6:12 into the match against Ben Burkhardt.
In the 165lb division,
Marquis Larmond snatched the victory after a technical fall of 22-5 at 4:57 into the match against Will Burnell of the Lakers.
Gavin McLaughlin (174) brought his game against James Sturek with a major decision of 13-3.
Kiam Coleman also had a day over Aaron Fredenburg early on at 1:04 into the match with a fall in the 184lb division.
Nick Franco then finished out the day with a win over Dylan Cogswell at 285 with a fall at just 1:44 into the matchup.
A Look at Championships – At the meet, Brockport will be facing Albany, Alfred State, Army Prep, Binghamton, Buffalo, Columbia, Cornell, Cortland State, Elmira College, Hofstra, Hunter, Ithaca, Jamestown Community College, Jamestown CC Unattached, LIU, Merchant Marine, Nassau Community College, Niagara County CC, NYU, Oneonta State, Onondaga CC, Oswego State, Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute, RIT, St. John Fisher, SUNY Ulster, and Utica.
