Brockport, NY- The Brockport Track & Field team will open the 2024 outdoor season at the SUNY Geneseo Early Season Invitational, taking place on Friday, March 29th at 3 pm and Saturday, March 30
th at 9:30 a.m.
Indoor Recap: The Golden Eagles are coming off a strong 2023-24 Indoor Track season, with the men's team earning a 3
rd finish place finish at SUNYAC Championships, and the women's team earning a 2
nd place finish in the SUNYAC. Sarah Crockett produced yet another gold medal performance in the women's shot put, and
Jonathan Zavala took the gold medal in the mile for the men's team. Julianne Wilson (women's mile),
Gabriel Giannini (men's high jump), and
Craig Duffy (men's 60m) all earned 2
nd place finishes, with
Tyler Miller earning a bronze medal in the men's heptathlon.
The Golden Eagles sent two runners to the NCAA Championships, with
Jonathan Zavala (men's mile) and
Jacob Miller (men's 400m) both earning All-American honors. On day two of the NCAA Championships, Zavala would make history, finishing 3
rd in the mile with a program record time of 4:06.09, and becoming a First Team All-American in the mile.
Across both indoor and outdoor track & field, Jon Zavala became the first Brockport athlete to earn All-American status in the men's mile. Zavala is also the lone non-relay track All-American for the Golden Eagles since 1986.

2023 Outdoor Season:
The Golden Eagles enjoyed a successful 2023 outdoor season, with the women's team earning a 2
nd place SUNYAC finish, and the men's team finishing 3
rd in the SUNYAC. The women's team followed up with an impressive 3
rd place finish at the AARTFC Championships, sending Mia Montgomery (long jump) and Rebecca Heuler (javelin) to Nationals. Montgomery also earned the SUNYAC Championship in the long jump with her 5.81m national qualifying mark. The men's team sent
Dustin Meyer (pole vault) to the NCAA Championships, finishing as the No. 2 ranked pole vaulter in the country.
