Brockport, NY – The SUNY Brockport men's basketball team finally returns home on Tuesday for its first home Empire 8 contest of the season. The Golden Eagles will welcome the SUNY Poly Wildcats for a 4pm tip-off at The Vlog.
 
3-Game Road Trip: Prior to Tuesday's home matchup, Brockport played three straight games on the road last week to begin conference play. The team started out with a win over Utica, 70-68. Up next was a trip to Hartwick, which saw the Green and Gold take another win, 90-71. To conclude the road trip, Brockport fell to Sage, 75-64. The team starts this new week at 4-7 overall and 2-1 in E8 play.
 
Beckett is Back: After totaling just 31 points through his first five games of the season, Mekhi Becket has now scored 77 points over the last four outings. In the year 2025, Beckett is averaging 19.25 points per game. Lighting it up so far in E8 play, he is currently averaging 18.3 points per game while shooting 45.8% from deep in three games against conference opponents.
 
Arnold Doing it All: Tony Arnold finds ways to contribute all over the floor each game for the Green and Gold. With 11.8 points per game he is behind only Beckett's 12.0 per game average on the team. To go with the scoring, Arnold leads the team with 6.3 rebounds, 3.6 assists, and 2.7 steals per game. In the road win at Utica he stuffed the stat sheet with 18 points, 10 boards, four assists, two steals, and one block. It was his third double-double of the season.
 
Gordon Going Off: Sophomore Nathaniel Gordon has stepped up for Brockport recently, which included the best game of his collegiate career against Sage. With 16 points in the first half on 100% shooting, Gordon finished with a career-high 21 points in the contest. He went 7-for-11 from the field, 4-for-5 from deep, and 3-for-3 at the foul line. Prior to his big day on Saturday, Gordon scored double-digits in three of the last four games. Over the last five, the second-year guard is averaging 12.0 points per game on 55.6% FG, 53.3% 3PT, and 85.7% FT.
 
Meet the Wildcats: The SUNY Poly Wildcats enter the mid-week matchup with a mark of 7-5 overall and 2-1 in the Empire 8. After hard-fought wins over Geneseo and St. John Fisher to start E8 play, Poly fell to Nazareth in its last outing, 85-68. The Wildcats currently average 78.5 points a game as a team, led by Cheickne Toure's 16.5 points a game and Daimarr Miller's 15.9 points a game.
 
Back on the Road: After Tuesday's home game at The Vlog, Brockport gets back on the road for another pair of games this weekend. First up is a trip to Elmira for Friday's 7:30pm start. Then on Saturday, the Golden Eagles head to Keuka College for a 4pm game.
