Brockport, NY – The SUNY Brockport swim and dive team is headed to Fredonia for a 3-day, mid-season championship style meet. Friday's first session begins at 10am and the second for the day starts at 5pm. The meet runs from Friday (11/21) through Sunday (11/23).

Recent Dual Victory: he Golden Eagles picked up wins for both the men and women against Hartwick in their home pool at the James B. Fulton Natatorium on Saturday. The women won by a score of 193-101 and the men earned a final score of 193-105.
The men's team picks up its first dual win of the year, moving to 1-3 in dual action. Meanwhile, the women even up at .500 with a 2-2 record in dual meets so far this season. Here is a look at the top finishers from Saturday's meet against the Hawks.
Matthew Cole,
Anthony O'Leary,
Joe Keeney, and
Erik Parkes swam a 1:40.15 to start the meet out with a first-place finish in the 200-yard medley relay.
With a time of 1:52.27, the women's team followed suit with first place in the 200 medley relay. Brockport's winning group was Hannah Ramos, Addy Martino, Maddie Erhardt, and Anna Lowe.
Alex Nicita clocked in at 10:36.66 for second place in the men's 1,000 freestyle event. He also swam a 1:49.81 for second in the 200 freestyle race.
Nicole Orcutt took second for the women in the 1,000 freestyle event, finishing at 11:27.17. She came back to grab first in the 200 freestyle with a time of 2:00.70, with Ramos placing second at 2:04.77.
Jace Fredericksen (57.28),
RJ Krupski (57.92), and Matthew Cole (59.09) took 1
st-3
rd in the men's 100 backstroke.
In the women's 100 backstroke it was Anna Lowe taking the win with a 1:02.37. Teammate Lauryn Ball was second with a time of 1:04.01.
Liam Farrell swam a 1:01.68 and
Anthony O'Leary had a 1:02.43 for first and second respectively in the men's 100 breaststroke.
Addy Martino took second for Brockport in the women's 100 breaststroke, clocking in at 1:10.53.
Swimming a time of 2:01.91,
Erik Parkes claimed first in the men's 200-yard butterfly. Varshana Ramgulam did the same for the women's 200-yard butterfly with a time of 2:21.50.
Brockport snagged 1
st-3
rd again in the men's 50 freestyle thanks to
Joe Keeney (22.52),
Zander Benz (22.68), and
Garrett Nanna (23.00).
In the women's 50 freestyle, freshman Anna Lowe took the win with her finish of 25.20.
On the diving board,
Brenden Jardin-Reed scored a 285.15 on the 1-meter and a 309.00 on the 3-meter for first place on both boards. With a 214.30, Brylee Weisenburg took first on the 3-meter board for the women. She did it again with a score of 220.25 on the 1-meter.
Zander Benz snagged second place with a time of 50.51 in the men's 100-yard freestyle. On the women's side of the event, Maddie Erhardt took first with her time of 55.56.
The men claimed the top three spots again in the 200-yard backstroke. This time it was on the efforts of
RJ Krupski (2:06.43),
Conner Berger (2:09.70), and Matthew Cole (2:11.40).
Lauryn Ball earned another event win with a 2:17.21 finish in the women's 200-yard backstroke.
Brockport saw
Anthony O'Leary (2:19.52) and
Liam Farrell (2:20.14) take the top two spots in the men's 200 breaststroke.
A time of 2:32.26 was good for Addy Martino's second-place finish in the women's 200-yard breaststroke.
Back in action for the 500 freestyle,
Alex Nicita took second again with his time of 5:03.12. Nicole Orcutt was able to get a win in the women's 500 freestyle, swimming a 5:25.65.
In the men's 100 butterfly,
Erik Parkes earned a second-place time of 53.68.
The women's team claimed first through third in the 100 butterfly. Maddie Erhardt took first (1:01.33), with Varshana Ramgulam (1:02.12) and Skylar King (1:05.86) right behind.
The Golden Eagles saw
Anthony O'Leary win the men's 200-yard IM, finishing at 2:04.87. Varshana Ramgulam did the same on the women's side of the action with a 2:19.03.
To finish out the meet strong, Brockport took first/second in both the men's and women's 200 freestyle relay events.

The women's winning relay squad of Anna Lowe, Maddie Erhardt, Sarah Colwell, and Nicole Orcutt clocked in at 1:41.84. Teammates Leah Allen-Comella, Lauryn Ball, Addy Martino, and Elvira Castro-Martin took second at 1:46.58.
Diving Award Winners: On Monday, November 17th, the Empire 8 announced its selections for Men's and Women's Swimming & Diving individual awards.
Brenden Jardin-Reed and
Brylee Weisenburg earned Men's and Women's Diving Athlete of the Week Honors following excellent performances in Brockport's win over Hartwick on Saturday.
Freshman
Brenden Jardin-Reed swept both the 1- and 3-meter diving events dominantly in Brockport's dual meet win over Hartwick on Saturday. He scored a 285.15 on the 1-meter and a 309.00 on the 3-meter for first place on both boards.
Fellow freshman
Brylee Weisenburg swept both the 1- and 3-meter diving events in the Golden Eagles' dual meet victory over Empire 8 rival Hartwick on Saturday. She took first on the 3-meter board with a score of 214.30 and earned a winning score of 220.25 on the 1-meter.
Last Year's Blue Devil Invite: In 2024, the Brockport swimming & diving teams posted excellent finishes at the Blue Devil Invite at Fredonia, concluding on Sunday, November 24
th. The men's team took 2
nd place (1414.5 points), with the women's team rolling to a first-place finish for back-to-back seasons (1703.5 points).
Elizabeth Sagan would have an excellent weekend, picking up wins in the 50 freestyle (24.32), 100 freestyle (52.74), and 200 freestyle (1:58.81).
Erik Parkes continued his strong season, finishing 2
nd in the 200-yard freestyle (1:46.75) and earning a 3
rd place finish in the 200-yard fly (1:46.75).
Luca Olivieri collected three top-5 finishes in the final rounds, finishing 4
th in the 200-yard IM (2:05.35), 200-yard backstroke (2:00.56), and 3
rd in the 400-yard IM (4:28.91).
Jace Frederickson was close behind, earning himself a 3
rd place finish in the 200-yard freestyle (1:49.25) and 1650-yard freestyle (18:02.53). Frederickson, Parkes, Olivieri, and Mike Laviani would team up for a 2
nd place finish in the 800-freestyle relay (7:22.47).
The Golden Eagles 200m freestyle relay of
Elizabeth Sagan,
Maddie Erhardt,
Leah Allen-Comella, and
Sarah Kilburn took the gold with an impressive time of 1:39.14.
Hannah Ramos would fill in for Allen-Comella for another win in the 400-freestyle relay (3:27.27).
The men's 200 freestyle relay of
Erik Parkes,
Garrett Nanna, Will Mergl, and
Luca Olivieri would take second place, finishing in 1:29.07.
Sarah Kilburn would follow suit with strong 2
nd place finishes in the 50 freestyle (24.77) and 100 freestyle (54.01). She would also add to 2
nd place finish in the 100-yard fly, finishing in 59.10.
Maddie Erhardt finished fourth for the women's team in the finals of the 100-yard fly, wrapping up in 1:01.45.
Addy Martino impressed in the breaststroke, earning a 3
rd place finish in the 100-yard (1:10.89) and a 4
th place finish in the 200-yard (2:34.28).
Lindsey Spitz earned a top-5 finish in the 100 breaststroke, finishing 5
th with a 1:11.90 mark in the finals. Spitz would add another 5
th-place finish in the 200 breaststroke at 2:38.30.
Ren Watson had a day on the board, taking 2
nd place in the 1-meter dive with 420.40 points.
Garrett Nanna would snag a 5
th-place finish in the 100-yard freestyle, wrapping up in 51:06.
Miya Vitale,
Addy Martino,
Sarah Kilburn, and
Elizabeth Sagan would team up for a win in the 400-medley relay in a photo finish (4:02.38). The foursome would collect more gold in the 200-medley relay, finishing in 1:50.69.
In the 3-meter dive,
Emma Conner took the win, scoring 403.3 points on the diving board. Conner would snag another win in the 1-meter dive, racking up 398.95 points.
Weekend Schedule: The 2025 edition of the Blue Devil Invite at Fredonia will be a 3-day meet with two sessions scheduled for each day. Friday begins at 10am with a finals session for the day held later at 5pm. That same schedule is repeated for Saturday's slate (10am/5pm). Then on Sunday for the final day of competition, the first session begins at 9:30am with the last session of the weekend set for 4:30pm. Brockport will be competing against Fredonia, St. Vincent, Hartwick, Pitt-Bradford, PSU Behrend, and Allegheny.
One More Dual Before Break: Following the mid-season championship style meet at Fredonia, the Golden Eagles have one meet left on the schedule prior to winter break and the turn of the calendar year. Brockport will head to Oswego on Saturday, December 6
th for a 1pm start to the dual.
