West Chester, PA – On Saturday the SUNY Brockport gymnastics team went 1-1 out at the West Chester University of Pennsylvania Tri-Meet. With a team score of 191.700, the Golden Eagles fell to West Chester (192.800) and picked up a win over Cortland (188.000).
The first rotation put Brockport on the floor exercise to start the meet. With her score of 9.800,
Kiara Hockman led the team's scoring effort in the event.
Emma Brookins put up a 9.775, while
Cali Czarcinski and
Maya Pecoraro both earned a 9.725.
Jamarie Saravia rounded out the scoring with a 9.700 on the floor, giving the group a 48.725 for the event.
Up next the Golden Eagles moved over to the vault for the second rotation. They would end up posting a 47.625 as a team to earn a score of 96.350 after two events.
It was
Kiara Hockman leading the way again with a 9.775.
Maren Eramo was close by with her 9.750 in the event. Hockman would be the event winner on the vault and Eramo took second.
Shannon Gibbs contributed with a 9.400,
Emma Brookins received a 9.375, and
Gracie Weaver had a 9.325.
Brockport moved to the bars next for the third rotation.
Emma Brookins had a team-high 9.575 in the event.
Maren Eramo posted a 9.475,
Aladiana Tosado scored a 9.450, and
Charlotte Raymond earned a 9.400. With a 9.350,
Jamarie Saravia rounded out the scoring on the bars to help the team total a 47.250.
With a score of 143.600 going into the final rotation, Brockport's 48.100 on the balance beam helped provided the final tally of 191.700.
Lienna Kay scored the highest for the Green and Gold on the beam, putting up a 9.750.
Kiara Hockman was second with her 9.700. The third best score for Brockport on the beam was a 9.625 from
Amelia York.
Emma Brookins earned a 9.550 and
Alexis Schulman added a 9.475.
Up next the Golden Eagles will prepare for the Empire State Collegiate Championship next weekend. Hosted by Cornell University, the meet is scheduled for a 2pm start on Sunday, February 9
th.
