Brockport, NY – The SUNY Brockport gymnastics team celebrated Senior Night on Friday with a dual win over Cornell University, 192.900-192.725. The Golden Eagles complete dual competition for the season at 10-3 overall.
 
Senior Aladiana Tosado really celebrated the special night with a pair of first place finishes. She won the uneven bars with a 9.750 and was also the event winner on the floor with her 9.850. Kiara Hockman was also an event winner, posting a 9.825 to place first on the balance beam.
 
Starting the meet on the vault, Brockport posted its lowest event total of the day and improved each rotation. The squad scored a 47.650 in the first event.
 
The Golden Eagles were led by Kiara Hockman's 9.700, which was good for third overall in the event. They also received scores of 9.550 from Lienna Kay, 9.525 from Maren Eramo, 9.475 from Shannon Gibbs, and 9.400 from Gracie Weaver.
 
Moving to the uneven bars, Aladiana Tosado's 9.750 highlighted the squad's performance. Maren Eramo finished second overall in the event with a 9.700. Brockport got key scores of 9.625 from Charlotte Raymond, 9.600 by Lienna Kay, and 9.425 from Julia Klucinec.
 
The bars squad totaled a 48.100 on the day, helping close the gap on the scoreboard at the end of the second rotation.
 
The third rotation saw yet another improvement in scoring from the Green and Gold in the home gym. The balance beam team put up a 48.400, earning three of the top four scores for the event.
 
As the event winner, Kiara Hockman scored a 9.825 to lead Brockport's effort on the beam. Amelia York's routine provided a big score of 9.750, as she tied for second place. Alexis Schulman had a strong showing as well with her 9.700. A 9.600 from Cali Czarcinski and Maya Pecoraro's 9.525 rounded out the beam scoring.
 
Heading into the fourth rotation, Cornell held a 145.000-144.150 lead on the running tally. While Brockport's floor squad posted the team's best total of the day (48.750), Cornell's beam team opened the door with Cornell's worst total of the meet (47.725). After a great outing on the floor exercise, the Golden Eagles came from behind to pull out the win on Senior Night.
 
Aladiana Tosado was the event winner on the floor, hitting a 9.850 to pace the Green and Gold's comeback effort. Cali Czarcinski and Kiara Hockman both tied for third in the event with a 9.775. Jamarie Saravia came in clutch with a 9.750 on the floor and Claire Wood's 9.600 completed the scoring that provided Brockport with the dual victory.
 
Following the completion of the events, the Golden Eagles celebrated this year's senior class. They took time to honor fifth-years Marina DelVecchio and Maren Eramo, before celebrating Miranda LaRobardiere, Maya Pecoraro, Becca Ring, Laken Sooy, Olivia Stinnette, and Aladiana Tosado.
 
Brockport is slated to host the National Collegiate Gymnastics Association East Regional on Saturday, March 8^th at 1pm. The Golden Eagles will be seeking their fifth straight NCGA East Regional Championship, competing in the Jim and John Vlogianitis Gymnasium.
