Following his first start of the season, senior Anthony Lapine was named the Empire 8 Conference Baseball Pitcher of the Week as the Golden Eagles defeated Immaculata 8-1 in game one from Florida.
 
In his first start of the season for Brockport, Lapine posted career highs in innings pitched (6.2), strikeouts (7), and batters faced (23). The senior from Liverpool, NY, allowed only two baserunners throughout his 6.2 innings on the mound.
 
Lapine has emerged as one of Brockport's top arms, beginning the season with 15.2 scoreless innings of work, collecting 16 strikeouts to just two walks and six hits allowed.  

The Golden Eagles are now 10-1 and will take on Fredonia on Wednesday, March 19^th, at 12:30 p.m. in the RussMatt Central Florida Invitational.
