Outdoor T&F Finish Up Day 1 of Brockport Multi and Bucknell Strong

Brockport, NY –  The outdoor men's and women's track and field teams finished up Day 1 of the Brockport Multi and the Bucknell Bison Outdoor Classic and posted a series of impressive results throughout the day.
 
Brockport Multi Day 1: 
In the men's decathlon, Gabriel Giannini currently sits in first place with 3339 points and Tyler Miller follows shortly behind in second with 2845 points. 

In the 100m sprint, Giannini crossed the line in just 11.25 seconds good for first place, and Miller finished just milliseconds after in second place at 11.76 seconds. 

In the long jump, Giannini took a strong first place at 6.50m and Miller finished in third at 5.86m.

Miller had a long throw of 10.19m in the shotput finishing in second and Giannini clinched third at 10.16m 

Giannini had another first place spot in the high jump clearing the pole at 1.75m and Miller took second at 1.69m. 

In the 400m race, Giannini took first yet again at 51.29 seconds and Miller finished shortly after in second at 56.06 seconds. 
 
In the women's heptathlon, Katie Pavelchak sits in third place with 859 points following day 1. 

In the 100m hurdles, Pavelchak took third in a quick 28.42 seconds Pavelchak had a strong second place finish in the high jump clearing the pole at 1.38m. In the shotput, Pavelchak took third from a 5.65m throw and she finished up in third in the 200m sprint at 36.73 seconds. 
 
Bucknell Day 1: 
Men's Team: 

In the men's 800m race, Brian Cappellini finished up the day in 68th place at a quick time of 1:56.73 and Owen Arbocus crossed the line shortly after at a mark of 1:56.95. 

Thomas Canestrari finished up in 37th place in the men's 1500m race with a time of 4:04.67. 

Finishing the day for the men's team was Patrick Klinger with an impressive third place finish in the 5000m at a time of 14:55.72 also good for eighth all time in Brockport. 
 
Women's Team: 

Starting the day in the 800m was Ethne Degan taking 45th at a mark of 2:16.73 also good for third all time. Vanessa Ramos also took 96th at a time of 2:21.03. 

In the women's 1500, Jaylah Cossin finished up in 72nd place making her mark at 4:55.95 and Julianne Wilson finished shortly after in 76th at 4:58.37. 

In the women's 5000m, Jennifer Reagan finished 29th on the board at a time of 18:48.21 and Sierra Basco took 39th at 19:39.00. 

Finishing out the day in the Invite women's 1500 was Mia Vizcaino in 65th place with a well-deserved time of 4:44.69 also taking third all time in Brockport. 

Up Next – Catch the Golden Eagles back in action tomorrow, Sunday, April 13th where they will be celebrating senior day during the Brockport Multi Day 2 starting at 9am. The team is also set to compete in day 2 of the Bucknell Bison Classic tomorrow starting at 10:30am.
