Outdoor T&F Finish Competition at Last Chance Meet Before Regionals, Degan Takes School Record

Brockport, NY – The men's and women's outdoor track and field teams finished up the Farley Inter-Regional Extravaganza strong in Williamstown, MA this weekend. 

Men's Team: 

In the shotput, Allen Reome had a 12th place finish at 11.90m. Reome also took 12th in the javelin from a 39.93m throw. 

Matthew Muscolo finished up in 15th place in the discuss from a 39.29m throw and 11th in thte hammer throw at 46.86m.

In the 400m race, Michael Durski took 5th at a quick 48.92 seconds and Jeremy Chen finished in 17th at 50.21 seconds. 

Jonathan Zavala had a day in the 1500 taking first at a mark of 3:46.96. Sean Kilip finished shortly after at 3:55.04 and in 16th.

Owen Arbocus finished up in the 800m in 23rd place at 1:55.26 and Brian Cappellini crossed the line just one second later at 1:56.54 in 31st place. 

Ayden Grinion and Timothy Smith took fourth and fifth in the 400m hurdles with Grinion finishing at 53.81 seconds and Smith at 54.99 seconds. 

Taking 20th in the 200m sprint at a mark of 22.50 seconds was Cole Ferris.

In the 5000m, Patrick Klinger finished in 19th at 14:46.66.

Howie Vargas also finished up in 19th place in the 3000 steeplechase at a time of 10:18.46. 
 
Women's Team: 

In the women's shotput, Bella Rivera took 18th place from a 10.98m throw, and Madison Kirkpatrick finished in 23rd at 9.99m. 

Rebecca Heuler had a 40.21m throw in the discuss good for a fourth place spot, and Savana Henry took 13that 34.81m. 

Rebecca Heuler also had a strong day in the javelin finishing with the silver medal spot at 37.59m. Madison Kirkpatrick took 9th at 31.09. 

Lainey Porter had a strong throw in the hammer throw at 45.48m good for 10th place and Bella Rivera threw for 37.22m good for 26th

Finishing with a new school record of 4:37.45 in the 1500 was Ethne Degan also taking fourth in the meet and Mia Vizcaino finished shortly after in 14th at 4:40.37. 

In the 800m, Vanessa Ramos took 25th at 2:20.62 and Maeve Robarge crossed the line just .01 seconds later at 2:20.63 in 26th.

Marissa Wise had a day in the 400m hurdles finishing in second at a time of 1:02.82 and Lily Rexford had a seventh place spot at 1:06.24. 

Finishing off the day in 32nd in the 5000m was Jennifer Reagan at a time of 19:20.27, and Sierra Basco in 33rdat 19:21.59. 

Coming Up – The Golden Eagles will be back at Williams College for the All Atlantic Region Track and Field Conference Outdoor Championships on Wednesday, May 14th and Thursday, May 15th.
