th at 8:30 a.m. The Golden Eagles will take on the winner of Utica Vs. Poly/Houghton on Thursday, May 8 at 3:30 pm.

Finishing Strong: The Golden Eagles finished the 2025 regular season with a DH sweep of Utica on Friday, May 2
nd. Brockport took game one 9-3 before defeating the Pioneers 9-2 in game two.

Drilling a three-run homer in the fourth inning,Â
Zach Eldred (2-3, 2R) shattered Tom Kretzler's record for home runs in a single season (17, 2022). Eldred would go 5-for-8 on the afternoon, collecting three RBIs and scoring six runs.

Victor Alongi would follow up with a three-run homer of his own in the fifth inning of game one, extending Brockport's lead to 9-3.   Â

Anthony Lapine (W, 8-0) stayed perfect on the season, pitching six innings of one-run baseball with five strikeouts in game one.

Jason Story had a big return to Utica, going 2-for-3 with two RBI and a run scored, reaching base safely four times in game two
Making History: Entering the E8 tournament with a 33-3-2 record, the Golden Eagles have posted the most regular-season wins in program history.
Zach Eldred made his mark on the record books, setting a new record for single-season home runs (18) with a blast against Utica.

Best of Both Worlds: With conference best and top-10 national ranks in several statistical categories, the Golden Eagles have proven to be one of the most complete teams in the country. The Brockport pitching staff has pitched to a 2.90 ERA (2
nd in D3), six shutouts (6
th), and 10.1 strikeouts per nine innings (6
th). The offense has been just as impressive, scoring 10 runs per game (8
th) with a team 0.343 batting average (8
th), and 0.524 slugging (10
th).

Friendly Competition: Each providing excellent seasons,
Zach Eldred and
Frank Vanzillotta are tied at the top of the Empire 8. Eldred and Vanzillotta scored a conference-leading 57 runs (16
th in D3) and 1.50 runs per game (11
th in D3). Vanzillotta ranks eighth in the nation with 40 walks on the season, with Eldred ranking second in total bases (138), and third in home runs (18).
