HIGH POINT, N.C. – SUNY Brockport baseball alum Matt Colucci (Class of 2022) made a statement in his professional debut, earning the win for the High Point Rockers on Saturday, May 9, 2026.

Signed by the Atlantic League club earlier that day, Colucci took the mound that night and delivered five shutout innings in a 4-0 victory over the York Revolution at Truist Point. The right-hander scattered four hits, struck out three, and did not issue a walk to earn his first professional win and move to 1-0 on the season.

It marked Colucci's first professional start. He made just four appearances with Ogden in the Pioneer League last season before joining High Point.

The Rockers' 4-0 win gave them a 3-2 lead in the six-game series with York. Four High Point pitchers combined on the shutout.

Colucci, a 2022 graduate of SUNY Brockport, becomes the latest Golden Eagle to reach the professional ranks.
