Brockport, NY – This Saturday, the Brockport women's volleyball team is away competing at the RIT Invitational. First up for the Golden Eagles is Alfred State at 1pm, followed by a matchup with RIT at 3pm.
Brockport Invitational: SUNY Brockport women's volleyball team closed out the weekend at home for the Brockport Invitational on Saturday. Going 1-1 on the day, the Golden Eagles went 2-1 for the weekend to improve to 3-4 overall. On day one, Brockport defeated Morrisville, 3-1, for the first win in 2025 at home. The final day of action saw the squad fall to Manhattanville, 3-1, before bouncing back against Hilbert, 3-1, to close out the weekend.

Team Leaders: Through the first seven matches of the season, Brockport has looked to feed
Luba Butcher (165 TA) and
Anna Cascapera (159 TA) offensively. Butcher leads the team with 52 kills and Cascapera is second with 45.
Alexis Sison and
Alenna Williamson have gotten up for 43 and 42 kills respectively.
The attackers on the outside have been set up primarily by
Kaitlyn Jewett, as she has registered 186 assists already. Jewett has also contributed heavily with her work on the serve, leading the team with 21 aces (0.75 per set).
Defensively, the squad has
Gianna Felipe and
Alexis Sison tied for the lead with 77 digs each. In the middle,
Ana Parella currently leads the group of blockers with 16 total blocks, including six solo blocks.
Luba Butcher is second with 10 total, while
Lauren Emke has nine total blocks so far for third on the team.
Looking at Alfred St. & RIT: The Alfred State Pioneers enter the tri-match setup this weekend with a record of 6-1 overall. They will face RIT at 11am, prior to taking on Brockport at 1pm this Saturday. RIT steps into its home gym with a record of 4-2 overall through the first two weeks of the season.
