Brockport, NY – The men's and women's cross country teams hit the road this weekend to the University of Rochester for the Yellow Jacket Invitational. The men will take off at 10am and the women at 11am at Genesee Valley Park
Last Meet Recap – The Golden Eagles started the 2025 season hosting the Tom Balon Alumni Classic and posted impressive results. The men's team finished up in fifth overall with 154 points, and the women dominated the course, finishing in first place with 65 points.
Men's Team - Aidan Mayer finished first for the Green and Gold and 23
rd overall with a time of 16:15.3.
Howie Vargas took 31
st and second on the team, making his mark at 16:25.4.
Clinching a third-place spot for Brockport and 34
th overall was Chris Cammisa, crossing the line at 16:31.4.
Caleb Belanger and Tim Smith finished in 39
th and 40
th with Belanger at 16:37.2 and Smith at 16:37.3.
Women's Team –
Ethne Degan led the team, clinching third place overall at a quick time of 19:02.1.
Freshman
Salma Moumen made a strong debut, finishing fourth overall at a mark of 19:22.6.
Taking 15
th overall and third for Brockport was
Emily Leo, crossing the finish line at 19:57.5.
Maeve Robarge took 20
th overall with a time of 20:11.6, and
Sierra Basco finished up in 23
rd just seven seconds later at 20:18.2.
Alumni - Alum Jared Smith had a strong race, finishing first overall at a time of 15:32.1.
Gabe Winters-Bona and Patrick Klinger finished back-to-back, taking third and fourth overall. Winters-Bona crossed the line at 15:40.5, and Klinger had a mark of 15:45.1.
Kerry Flower also showed out for the women's race, finishing first overall at a quick time of 18:19.3.
Mia Vizcaino also brought the heat, taking sixth overall in the meet at a time of 19:28.7.
