Brockport Cross Country Earns USTFCCCA All-Academic Awards

New Orleans, LA – The U.S. Track & Field and Cross Country Coaches Association (USTFCCCA) announced the 2024 NCAA Division III All-Academic Teams. SUNY Brockport had both the men and women earn the team award, while the men's squad had three individuals recognized as well.
 
Each year the USTFCCCA honors the cross country programs that have maintained a cumulative GPA of 3.1 on a 4.0 scale. Head Coach John Davis has both his men and women's team meeting that standard.
 
The SUNY Brockport women's cross country team earned the distinction of 2024 NCAA DIII USTFCCCA All-Academic Team with a 3.64 GPA. The men's team also earned the All-Academic Team award with a 3.33 GPA.
 
Individually, to earn the status of 2024 NCAA DIII USTFCCCA All-Academic Athlete one must hold a cumulative GPA of 3.30 on a 4.0 scale. Additionally, the individual must finish in the top 25% of their respective regional championship meet.
 
The Golden Eagles had three men earn this honor. Charlie Alekson, Sean Killip, and Patrick Klinger. Alekson placed 15th overall at the Niagara Region Championships (25:34.7), Klinger landed at 19th (25:46.7), and Killip finished 20th (25:51.0).
 
This is Sean Killip's second straight year earning this distinction and a first-time honor for Alekson and Klinger at Brockport. The Golden Eagles have earned the All-Academic Team Award for the men and women in back-to-back seasons.
