Brockport, NY – On Monday, September 8^th, the Empire 8 announced sophomore Ethne Degan as the Women's Cross Country Athlete of the Week following the Tom Balon Alumni Classic at Brockport over the weekend. 

Degan started the season strong with a third-place finish overall while taking first for the Golden Eagles in the 5k race. Degan crossed the finish line at a stellar time of 19:02.1. 

Up Next - The Green and Gold will be back in action on Saturday, September 20^th where they will travel to the University of Rochester for the Yellow Jacket Invitational starting at 10am.
