Box Score BROCKPORT, N.Y- The Brockport Field Hockey team dropped Saturday's non-conference clash at RPI, 9-1, on September 27
th. The Golden Eagles fell to 4-4 following the non-conference loss.
RPI would waste no time getting on the scoreboard, scoring two goals in the first 8:40 of the opening frame. The Engineers would record 20 shots in the first half, holding Brockport without a shot attempt in the first half.Â
Following a three-goal first quarter, RPI would add four more tallies in the second quarter. Three straight RPI goals in 2:12 would send the Engineers into halftime with a 7-0 lead.
Lauren Mastromarco would enter the contest in the second half for Brockport, making two saves in the second half.
Down 8-0 entering the fourth quarter, the Brockport offense would find a spark. The Golden Eagles held a 7-4 edge in the shots department.
Following another RPI goal to go up 9-0, the Golden Eagle offense would break the shutout.
Cassidy Pado would connect for her team-leading third goal of the season to get the Green and Gold on the scoreboard.
Terralyn McLaughlin led all Golden Eagles with two shots on goal, with
Sophia Jones adding a shot on goal as well.
Katelynn Banning picked up the start for Brockport, making a game-high four stops.
