BROCKPORT, N.Y- The Brockport Field Hockey team will host Alfred University under the lights for NFHCA Umpire Appreciation Night on Wednesday, October 1
st at 7 pm.
Last Outing: The Golden Eagles were downed in Troy, NY against RPI, 9-1, on Saturday, September 27
th. Brockport fell to 4-4 on the season following the non-conference loss.
Cassidy Pado would connect for her team-leading third goal of the season to get the Green and Gold on the scoreboard.
Terralyn McLaughlin led all Golden Eagles with two shots on goal, with
Sophia Jones adding a shot on goal as well.
Katelynn Banning picked up the start for Brockport, making a game-high four stops.
Home Sweet Home: Returning home for a pair of games this week, the Golden Eagles look to build off an excellent record on home turf. Holding a 3-1 record at Dr. Linda Arena and Class of '69 Field, Brockport has held a solid 19-13 mark at home since 2022.
Breakout Season: Appearing in just three games as a freshman in 2024, sophomore
Cassidy Pado is in the midst of a breakout season. The Whitney Point, NY, native is tied for the team lead in goals (3) and points (6). Pado has scored in two of her last three outings, posting a shot on goal in her last three games. She ranks fifth among Brockport players in minutes played (383), appearing in all eight games with four starts.
Scouting Alfred: The Saxons are currently 0-7 in the program's inaugural season of Division 3 competition, recently falling 9-0 to Russell Sage last Saturday. The Green and Gold will look to improve to 2-0 in Empire 8 contests.
