BROCKPORT, NY - The Brockport Ice Hockey team will head to Elmira for UCHC action on Saturday, January 10th at 4 PM.
Maintain Momentum: The Golden Eagles will enter 2026 coming off a strong end to the 2025 slate, winning two of their last three games heading into the holiday break. Following a 2-1 non-conference win in Vermont over Lebanon Valley, Brockport would roll to a 6-3 UCHC win over Elmira, improving to 2-3 in conference play. The Golden Eagles can jump Nazareth for fourth place in the UCHC with a win on Saturday.
Leading the Way: In his first season with the Green and Gold,
Nick Reif has served as the heartbeat of the Brockport offensive attack. Across 10 games, Reif has led the Golden Eagles in goals (6), points (9), and powerplay goals (2).
Dynamic Duo: Splitting time between the pipes for Brockport,
Dax Easter and
David Filak have been a strong goaltending duo for the Green and Gold. Easter (91.2%) and Filak (90.7%) have both saved over 90% of the shots they've faced, with Filak playing to a solid 3-3 record across six starts. Easter has led the way with a 3.00 goals allowed average, with Filak leading the squad with 204 total saves.
Scouting Elmira: The Soaring Eagles have played to a 3-9 overall record and 1-2 mark in UCHC play, most recently dropping a non-conference matchup with Oswego, 6-2. Brockport will head to Elmira looking to complete the season sweep, defeating Elmira on Teddy Bear Toss, 6-3, back on December 5th.
