BROCKPORT, NY - The Brockport Ice Hockey team (9-12, 5-6-1 UCHC) will host Nazareth University (12-6-3, 6-5-1 UCHC) in the Face Off Against Cancer Game on Friday, February 13th at 7 PM. The Golden Eagles will head to the Tim Horton's Iceplex on Saturday to take on the Golden Flyers at 7 PM.

UCHC Outlook: Four teams have already clinched their spot in the UCHC Tournament, with Utica (12-0 UCHC), Geneseo (9-3), Chatham (8-4), and Albertus Magnus (7-7) all qualifying for the postseason. Trailing fifth-place Nazareth (6-5-1, 19 points) by three conference points, the Golden Eagles (16 points) can jump the Golden Flyers with a weekend sweep at home. If the UCHC Tournament started today, Brockport would head to #3-seeded Chatham in Pittsburgh, PA, on Wednesday, February 25th.Â
Defensive Prowess: In his first season with the Green and Gold, freshman
Kyle Kussmann has been a two-way standout for the Green and Gold. Across 20 games played, Kussmann has provided a team-high 13 assists, adding four goals to lead the squad with 17 points on the season. Playing to a +2 rating on the season, Kussmann has totaled 14 blocked shots, racking up eight points in his last five games.
Scouting Nazareth: The Golden Flyers are coming off a weekend sweep of St. John Fisher, defeating the Cardinals, 2-1, last Saturday. Brockport has posted a solid 4-2-1 record against Nazareth dating back to the 2016 season.
