Brockport, NY – The SUNY Brockport gymnastics team finished out its final dual of the year at home in commanding fashion against Greenville University. Brockport won by a final score of 192.400-187.475, while also claiming the event winner in all four events.
Kiara Hockman served as the event winner in both the vault (9.750) and the balance beam (9.800).
Lienna Kay took first place on the uneven bars with her score of 9.775. Finally on the floor, Brockport saw both
Kayla Gleason and
Amelia York tie for first with a 9.850.
The Golden Eagles started off on the vault in the final home dual, led by Hockman's 9.750. Kay added a 9.600 to the score for the event.
Maria Pell and
Emma Langdon both were awarded a 9.575 for their vaults.
Shannon Gibbs hit a 9.525 to round out the team's vault score at 48.025.
Brockport's group on the bars was able to put up a 47.475 for the day, with Kay's 9.775 highlighting the performances.
Alexis Schulman and
Charlotte Raymond both hit a 9.500 with their routines.
Jamarie Saravia added a 9.450, while
Julia Klucinec finished the scoring with her 9.250.
Moving over to the balance beam for the third rotation, Brockport looked to create more separation in the scores. The squad did just that with a 47.825 on the beam, led by Hockman's event-winning 9.800.
Kayla Gleason and
Alyssa Strain went for a 9.750 on the day.
Lienna Kay contributed a 9.650 and
Cali Czarcinski finished the scoring with a 8.875.
Closing out the meet on the floor with a party, Brockport posted its 49.075 to create its final tally of 192.400 for the day. In a group of dazzling routines,
Kayla Gleason and
Amelia York came out on top with 9.850 scores. Close behind was the Brockport duo of
Jamarie Saravia and
Kiara Hockman, both putting up a 9.800.
Cali Czarcinski rounded out the scoring with a 9.775.
The Golden Eagles now begin to prepare for the NCGA East Regional Championships, as they look to defend their title run of five straight regional championships.
