Providence, RI – For the sixth straight season, the Brockport gymnastics team has claimed the NCGA East Regional Championship. Hosted by Rhode Island College, Brockport placed first at the 2026 NCGA East Regional Meet with a final score of 193.675.
To go with a sixth consecutive regional title, the Golden Eagles also saw several gymnasts take home medals for impressive individual efforts.
Kiara Hockman shined on the regional stage with two gold medal performances. She placed first at the meet with a 9.800 on the vault and first again on the floor with her 9.875.
On the balance beam, Brockport saw both
Alyssa Strain and
Kayla Gleason share the gold. The duo tied for first place in the event, both scoring a 9.800 on the beam.
Three other Brockport gymnasts joined Hockman on the podium to earn medals in the floor exercise event. As part of a 4-way tie for second place, both
Emma Brookins and
Claire Wood earned a 9.800 for silver. As part of another 4-way tie,
Jamarie Saravia snagged a bronze medal with a 9.775.
Emma Brookins earned another medal for her routine on the uneven bars. She scored a 9.675 to tie for third place to earn some bronze.
The Golden Eagles competed at a high level out in Rhode Island, posting the highest score at the meet in three of the four events. They earned a 48.125 on the vault, 48.775 on the beam, and a 48.900 on the floor. The squad 47.875 on the bars was good for second on the day.

The Golden Eagles are now officially set to compete at the NCGA National Championships, hosted by Cortland later this month. The meet is scheduled for a 2pm start on Friday, March 20
th, where Brockport will make its run at a national championship.
