Brockport, N.Y. – The Empire 8 announced Monday, March 30, that Megan Gerber has been named the Women's Flag Football Co-Offensive Player of the Week. The honor marks the first Empire 8 weekly award in program history for the Brockport Golden Eagles.
Gerber earned the recognition after leading Brockport to a 26–12 victory over Russell Sage Gators in the team's Empire 8 opener last week.
Starting at quarterback for the Golden Eagles, Gerber delivered a dynamic all-around performance, totaling 120 passing yards and 110 rushing yards while accounting for all four Brockport touchdowns. Through her first three games, she has recorded 10 total touchdowns, including seven passing and three rushing.
A versatile offensive threat, Gerber has contributed across multiple positions, including quarterback, running back, and wide receiver, showcasing her impact throughout the lineup.
Flag Football, now 2–1 on the season, returns home on Tuesday, March 31, at 6 p.m. for the program's inaugural home opener at Bob Boozer Field.
