Senior Day
Prior to kickoff, Brockport will recognize nine seniors for their commitment to the program: Anyah Carson, Mary Massoth, Katrin Althouse, Megan Gerber, Ava Pytlik, Rachel Freitas, Cymbri Jefferson, Jasmin Rodriguez Santiago, along with student assistants Caleb Chaffee and Chelsey Paul.
Season Highlights
The Golden Eagles enter the regular-season finale following a historic inaugural season highlighted by a title at the Empire 8 Women's Flag Football Championship. Among the season's milestones, Brockport earned its first Empire 8 victory with a 26-12 road win at Russell Sage on March 27. The program also celebrated its inaugural home opener as part of the Morgan's Message Mental Health Awareness Game, where Madison Beardsley connected with Trelani Harper on a 15-yard touchdown pass, serving as the first score in program history at Bob Boozer Field.
Brockport established itself as a contender throughout conference play, recording two separate three-game winning streaks and outscoring Empire 8 opponents 119-32 from April 3-11. The Golden Eagles also swept Hartwick College in three meetings, including a 47-18 victory in the Empire 8 Semifinals, finishing with a 112-62 scoring advantage in the season series.
Individually, Karina Rozhevenko and Megan Gerber earned Empire 8 weekly honors, while Gerber delivered the program's first postseason touchdown, a 16-yard pass to Lauren Cundra against Hartwick on April 21. Gerber was later named tournament MVP and headlined six all-tournament selections alongside Trelani Harper (TE), Addy VanDewater (WR), Lauren Cundra (S), Cymbri Jefferson (LB), and Ava Leyh (DB).
Brockport also secured six All-Conference honors, with Gerber, VanDewater, Cundra, and Ariana Kennedy earning first-team recognition. Beardsley and Jefferson were named to the second team, while Caitlynn Haugh was selected to the Tomorrow's Leaders Team.
Under the Radar
At quarterback, Madison Beardsley has provided a steady and effective presence alongside Empire 8 Tournament MVP Megan Gerber. The freshman leads the team in completion percentage (56.2), completions (95), passing yards (1,080), and passing touchdowns (18), while throwing just four interceptions. In 10 appearances, the Rochester, N.Y., native has added 509 rushing yards, emerging as a dynamic dual-threat option for the Golden Eagles.
Dynamic Duo
Addy VanDewater and Trelani Harper have developed into one of the conference's most productive receiving tandems. The pair has combined for 1,118 of Brockport's 2,084 receiving yards and 23 of the team's 33 receiving touchdowns. VanDewater has totaled 629 yards and 15 touchdowns, while Harper has added 489 yards and eight scores, giving Brockport a consistent and explosive presence in the passing game. Both underclassmen figure to be staples of the Brockport passing game for years to come.
Home Sweet Home
Brockport has capitalized on its home-field advantage at Bob Boozer Field, posting a 5-2 record at home, including a 4-1 mark in Empire 8 play.
Friday's contest marks the final chapter of a landmark inaugural season, as the Golden Eagles look to close the year on a high note and continue building momentum for the future.
