BROCKPORT, NY – The SUNY Brockport Field Hockey team will open the 2026 season on Tuesday, September 1st, hosting John Carroll's inaugural field hockey program at 4 p.m. on the Dr. Linda Arena and Class of '69 Field. Following their home opener, the Golden Eagles hit the road for a Huntingdon, PA doubleheader against Allegheny College on Saturday, September 5th at 3 p.m. and host Juniata College on Sunday, September 6th at 12 p.m.
2025 Recap: In their third season as Empire 8 members, the Golden Eagles posted an 8-10 overall record with a 5-5 mark in conference play, highlighted by a dominant 6-2 record on their home turf. Brockport secured its third straight E8 Tournament berth before falling to Nazareth in the opening round.
Following the season, Brockport collected three All-Conference selections:
Terralyn McLaughlin (2nd Team / E8 Sportswoman of the Year): Breakout sophomore campaign starting all 18 games, leading the roster with five assists and tying for a team-high 17 points while logging 984 minutes.
Sophia Jones (2nd Team): Lockdown junior midfielder who anchored the defense with two defensive saves while contributing two goals and an assist.
Elise Brady (3rd Team): Dynamic freshman campaign, powering the attack with a team-leading eight goals—including four game-winners—and tying for the team high with 17 points.

Coaching Staff: Head Coach
Krista Archambeau enters her ninth season guiding the Green and Gold, sitting at 65 career victories as she aims for a third consecutive Empire 8 Tournament appearance. Returning for their second season on the sidelines are former Golden Eagle standouts Ella Buchanan and Paige Thowe. Joining the staff this fall is assistant coach
Tarah Christenson, who brings extensive Empire 8 head coaching experience from Nazareth University (30 wins, 3 E8 Tournament appearances) and St. John Fisher University (2012 E8 Coach of the Year).
Key Returners: Having lost just one senior from last year's roster, Brockport retains deep offensive firepower and an experienced midfield and backline. The Golden Eagles return their top three point scorers:
Elise Brady (8G, 1A),
Terralyn McLaughlin (6G, 5A), and
Cassidy Pado (4G, 3A). Defensively, senior midfielder

Fresh Faces: Brockport reloads with 11 newcomers, welcoming 10 freshmen and one junior transfer to complement a core of 16 returners. "I'm really excited about our 10 incoming freshmen, along with our junior transfer, who will bring both experience and skill to the group," Archambeau added. Between the Pipes: Junior
Lauren Mastromarco steps into the primary netminder role following a solid sophomore campaign. Mastromarco posted a 5-2 record in seven starts, recording 31 saves on 60 shots faced across 392 minutes in the cage.
E8 Outlook: Brockport kicks off Empire 8 action on the road against Elmira (Sept. 23) before returning home for a matchup against Hartwick (Sept. 26). October features conference clashes at Russell Sage (Oct. 2), vs. St. John Fisher (Oct. 7), at Alfred (Oct. 10), vs. Keuka (Oct. 14), vs. Geneseo (Oct. 21), and vs. Houghton (Oct. 24). The Golden Eagles close the regular season on Wednesday, October 28th at Nazareth for a 2025 E8 quarterfinals rematch.
Scouting John Carroll: Tuesday marks the inaugural varsity game in John Carroll history, as the Blue Streaks launch field hockey as their 25th varsity sport prior to joining the NCAC.
Scouting the Gators: The Golden Eagles hold a perfect 2-0 all-time record against Allegheny. Brockport earned a 4-0 shutout in their initial meeting and edged Allegheny 2-1 in overtime during the 2025 home opener. Allegheny finished 2025 with a 5-9 overall record and a 3-6 conference mark
Scouting Juniata: Brockport closes out the doubleheader weekend seeking to extend its 2-0 all-time winning streak against the Eagles. The Golden Eagles earned a 2-1 double-overtime victory in their first meeting before securing a 4-3 thriller in 2025. Juniata comes off a 2-17 campaign with a 0-9 conference record in 2025.
