Freshman Alanna Blasting (Kenmore, NY/Kenmore) broke a school-record by five seconds at the Fredonia Invitational over the weekend. Blasting has been named The College at Brockport Female Athlete of the Week.

Swimming in the 400-yard IM, Blasting broke the school-record in the preliminary round with a time of 4:57.97. She further broke the record in the finals with a time of 4:57.02. The time improved Blasting’s personal best time by almost a full minute. Blasting finished fourth overall in the event as the Golden Eagles women finished third overall at the invite.

Blasting also participated in the 200-yard IM and finished fifth with a time of 2:19.30. She also finished seventh in the 100-yar breaststroke at 1:13.57.
