Jordan Dyer (Chenango Forks, NY/Chenango Forks) of the wrestling team has been named The College at Brockport Male Athlete of the Week for the second consecutive week after winning the 141 pound championship at the Empire Collegiate Wrestling Conference (ECWC) Championships at Cortland. Brockport finished third overall with 108.5 points behind Messiah and Ithaca.

Dyer opened up the meet with a pin in 4:13 against John Hamm from RIT. The freshman scored two more decisions, including a close 5-4 victory over Dominick Giacolone from Ithaca to advance to the championship round.
In the championship round Dyer squared off against Sean Hanson from Oneonta. Dyer scored a 19-4 technical fall over his opponent to claim the 141 pound championship.

Dyer has now won eight consecutive matches and 12 of his last 13. The freshman won all three matches last weekend at the Virginia Duals and also placed third at the New Standard Invitational on Dec.1.

Brockport will host a dual meet against Oswego on Jan. 23 at 7:00 pm.
