Senior Caitlin McAneney (Hornell, NY/Hornell) shaved 49 seconds off her time at last year's Hamilton College Cross Country Invitational to earn Brockport’s Female Athlete of the Week honors.

McAneney, who ran the 5K race in 18 minutes, 49 seconds, finished second out of 97 runners and helped lead the Golden Eagles to a first-place team finish. Brockport defeated host Hamilton by a point and also knocked off regionally ranked Ithaca to claim the title. The performance was the second-best 5K time in McAneney’s career at Brockport.
