Sophomore Wayne Bonsell (Binghamton, NY/Binghamton) has been named The College at Brockport Male Athlete of the Week for the week ending on October 20.

Against Cortland, Bonsell threw for over 300 yards and completed five touchdown passes tying a school record for TD passes in a game as he led the Golden Eagles to a 49-32 victory.

The five Td passes in a game ties a school record with three other quarterbacks that have accomplished the feat seven times in the past five years.

Bonsell was inserted into the starting lineup two weeks ago and has led the Golden Eagles to consecutive NJAC victories over William Paterson and Cortland. In two games, Bonsell has completed 63% of his passes (39-for-62) for 555 yards and six touchdowns for a quarter back efficiency rating of 157.13.

Brockport returns to action at home on Saturday at home for an NJAC matchup against Kean at 1:00 pm.
