Senior Stephanie Schuler (Purcellville, VA/Hickory) has been named The College at Brockport Female Athlete of the Week for the week ending January 19. Schuler led the Brockport Gymnastics team to a perfect record in the team’s opening week of play, defeating both Cortland on the road and Springfield at home.

Schuler excelled at the uneven bars against Cortland, placing first with a score of 9.5. She also posted solid scores in the vault and beam events, placing third in both. In the vault event she scored a 9.4 and she scored a 9.475 on the beam. Brockport narrowly defeated Cortland on the road by a score of 185.000-184.625.

Schuler helped lead Brockport to the top Gymnastics score in the country on the season, as the Golden Eagles defeated Springfield 189.100-183.450. Schuler had the top score in uneven bars and vault. In uneven bars she scored an impressive 9.725 and in the vault event she scored 9.625. She placed fifth in the beam event with a 9.45 score.
