Senior Brianna Ferchen (Oneonta, NY/Oneonta) has been named The College at Brockport Female Athlete of the Week for the week ending March 23. Ferchen had an impressive showing during the Softball team’s annual trip to Florida for games in the spring.

Ferchen totaled 11 hits in 23 at bats while playing in seven of Brockport’s eight games this week, including three games with multiple hits. She also added four runs scored, five runs batted in and four stolen bases.

The Golden Eagle leadoff hitter proved to be quite the run producer in a 6-2 win over the University of Massachusetts Dartmouth on Monday. On the day she went 1-for-3 with a double, two runs scores, two runs batted in and a stolen base.

Ferchen’s next most impressive game came in a 5-1 win against Lasell (MA). She finished the game a perfect 4-for-4 with three runs batted in and a stolen base. On the day she finished with six hits, as she had two more hits in a previous game Wednesday.
