SUNY Brockport Athletics

Brianna Harris (Liverpool, NY/Liverpool) has been named The College at Brockport Female Athlete of the Week for the week ending May 4. Harris had an exceptional week at the plate and helped the Brockport Softball team make it to the State University of New York Athletic Conference (SUNYAC) semifinals.

Harris was named a member of the SUNYAC All-Tournament team for her stellar play over the weekend. During the tournament she went an unbelievable seven-for-13 with three runs scored, four runs batted in and a stolen base.

Harris’ best game in the tournament came against SUNY Oneonta with everything on the line. The Golden Eagles had already lost one game in the double elimination style tournament and after holding the lead in the final inning were now tied 2-2 in extras. Harris led off the following inning and wasted little time to put Brockport back ahead with one swing of the bat, she sent the ball soaring over the center field fence. On the day Harris was a perfect four-for-four with a run scored and two runs batted in during the Golden Eagles second consecutive victory to send a SUNYAC opponent home as they beat the Red Dragons 4-2.
