Freshman Brianna Hake (St. George, VT/Champlain Valley Union) has been named The College at Brockport Female Athlete of the Week for the week ending May 11. Hake’s freshman season as a Golden Eagle has been quite impressive as the first year Brockport thrower seems to improve week by week.

Hake defeated the competition for the fourth straight track and field meet in the javelin throw. She improved on her distance from her winning throw in the State University of New York Athletic Conference (SUNYAC) Championships at the Last Chance Meet when the spear soared for 39.06 meters. She ranks sixth in the Atlantic Region with her career-best throw of 39.26 meters.

The Golden Eagles travel to compete in the ECAC Championships at Springfield, MA for the two-day meet on Thursday and Friday. Events begin at 1 pm on Thursday and 10 am on Friday.
