Sophomore Courtney Claflin (Lacona, NY/Sandy Creek) hit .350 (7-for-20) with seven RBI as The College at Brockport’s softball team went 3-3 over the week. Claflin is Brockport’s Female Athlete of the Week.

Claflin, who had four RBI through Brockport’s first 12 games, recorded an RBI in five of six games on the week, including belting a two-out, three-run home run to right field to cap a four-run seventh inning as Brockport picked up a 5-2 win over the University of Rochester in Game One of a doubleheader Sunday afternoon. It was her first home run of the season, and third of her career.

Claflin, an infielder, also drove in the tying run in Game One of Brockport's 2-1 win over Geneseo Saturday afternoon and plated the winning run with an RBI single to right field in the bottom of the seventh of Brockport's 2-1, Game One win over St. John Fisher on Thursday.

Brockport (13-7 overall, 1-3 State University of New York Athletic Conference) split doubleheaders with Fisher, Geneseo and Rochester on the week.
