Marino earned third-team All-American honors from the National Soccer Coaches Association of America after setting three Brockport school records in the fall— shutouts in a season (11), team shutouts (12) and most consecutive minutes without allowing a goal (796 minutes, seven seconds). He garnered the Huntley Parker Award as the State University of New York Athletic Conference's (SUNYAC) Men's Soccer Player of the Year, the first Golden Eagle to earn conference Player of the Year honors.

 

Brockport (14-3-3) climbed to as high as 13th in the national polls and earned the program's third trip to the NCAA Division III Tournament in the last five years. Marino earned NCAA All-East Region Second-Team honors as Brockport advanced into the second round of the tournament for the second time in as many years.

 

Marino, a two-time first-team All-SUNYAC selection, was the centerpiece of a defense that surrendered only 13 goals in 20 games. His 0.61 goals-against average both led the SUNYAC and was in the top 40 nationally among Division III keepers.
