Sophomore Mackenzie Rounds (Binghamton, NY/Susquehanna Valley) and senior Jen Lazarony (Corfu, NY/Pembroke) were eliminated in the first round of the ITA Northeast Region Championship hosted by Hobart and William Smith College on Saturday.

Rounds was defeated by RIT's Sara Bjork with a score of 4-6, 6-3, 6-3, and will be playing in the consolation bracket.

Lazarony lost 6-4, 6-1 to host William Smith's Kiara Ocasio, and was defeated in 8-2 in consolation action.

Rounds will team up with senior Carolyn McMenemon (Pine Bush, NY/Pine Bush) later today to face NYU's tandem of Ariel Sultan and Mari Tzakis in the doubles portion of the tournament.
