Corey Booth (Middletown, NY/Minisink Valley) provided a two-run single earlier in the inning, scoring
Mike Weakley (Liverpool, NY/Liverpool) and Wilson. Also scoring in the inning for Brockport was
Stephen Boronczyk (Syracuse, NY/Corcoran) and
Brendan Swayne (Seaford, NY/Plainedge), as both singled to leadoff the inning.
Bardenett allowed just one hit over the next three innings but managed to face the minimum nine batters thanks to a doubleplay in the second. The Golden Eagles tacked on two more runs in the top of the fifth inning after
Jake Coleman (Hilton, NY/Hilton) drove a pitch to left center for a triple to score
Kyle Tracy (Plainview, NY/Bethpage). Coleman scored on the next play as
Mike DeGregory (Saratoga Springs, NY/Schuylerville) doubled to the left center gap.
Bardenett pitched a perfect fifth and sixth inning before being relieved by
Mark Driesel (Kent, NY/Kendall). Driesel pitched one and two-thirds of an inning, allowing just one earned run before turning it over to
Rob Stankiewicz (New Windsor, NY/Newburgh Free Academy) to close out the game.
Booth led the Brockport offense with three hits on the day. The senior also scored two runs and had two runs batted in. Wilson also collected three hits to up his team-leading batting average to .372 on the year. Coleman finished the game 3-5 on the day and Bunce and DeGregory had two hits apiece.
