Brockport, N.Y. — The Empire 8 Conference announced its 2026 Baseball All-Conference selections on Wednesday, May 12, recognizing the league's top performers as voted on by the head coaches. SUNY Brockport placed five student-athletes on this year's teams. The Golden Eagles' representation included one First Team honoree, two Second Team selections, and two Third Team representatives, in addition to one member of the Tomorrow's Leaders Team. All statistics cited are from the 2026 season.
Norton earned First Team honors as a designated hitter following a graduate season in which he started 41 games. He posted a .340 batting average and led the Golden Eagles with 17 doubles and two triples while adding eight home runs. Norton was a prolific run producer, tallying 40 RBIs and scoring 44 times. A threat on the basepaths, he successfully stole 13 bases on 14 attempts.
Evan Brock - Second Team All-Conference
Brock provided significant power and speed for the Brockport lineup to earn Second Team honors. Starting all 43 games in the outfield, he batted .311 and tied for the team lead with 48 RBIs. His season was highlighted by 11 doubles and eight home runs, along with 44 runs scored. Brock was the team's most frequent base stealer, converting 15-of-16 attempts while recording a .980 fielding percentage in the outfield on 102 total chances.
Brendan Pajak - Second Team All-Conference
Pajak anchored the Brockport bullpen as a senior to earn a spot on the All-Conference Second Team. Appearing in 12 games and making one start, he recorded a 4.10 ERA over 26.1 innings pitched. Pajak struck out 29 batters and held opposing hitters to a .232 batting average.
Matthew Coon - Third Team All-Conference
Coon earned Third Team honors at first base after leading the Golden Eagles' regular starters with a .359 batting average. In 42 games, he led the team with 12 home runs and 106 total bases, resulting in a team-best .693 slugging percentage. Coon recorded 55 hits and 48 RBIs while scoring 47 runs. Defensively, he was nearly perfect, posting a .997 fielding percentage with only one error in 308 total chances.
Tyler Pohlman - Third Team All-Conference
Pohlman was named to the All-Conference Third Team after serving as a cornerstone of the Brockport starting rotation. In 11 appearances and nine starts, he posted a 5-4 record with a 4.28 ERA. Pohlman led the pitching staff with 61.0 innings pitched and one complete game, while ranking second on the team with 59 strikeouts.
Liam Pytlak - Tomorrow's Leaders Team
Pytlak was Brockport's representative on the Tomorrow's Leaders Team, recognizing student-athletes who emerge as leaders on the field, in the classroom, and in the community. Pytlak appeared in six games during the 2026 season, batting .429 with three hits and five RBIs.
Brockport finished the 2026 season with a 22-21 overall record and a 17-5 mark in conference play. The Golden Eagles were highly effective on the road, posting a 12-5 record, and finished the year with a .964 team fielding percentage. The five All-Conference selections highlight the competitive depth of the Brockport baseball program within the Empire 8.
