Sophomore
Olivia Sylvestro (Palm City, FL/Martin County) scored a team-high 9.6 on the vault leading The College at Brockport Gymnastics team to an impressive 47.45 score as a team on the vault in the final rotation but it was not enough to overcome and early Ithaca lead and the Golden Eagles settled for a second place finish at the Harriet Marranca Invitational Meet Saturday at Ithaca College.
Ithaca won the team title with 186.025 points followed closely by Brockport with 185.975. Rhode Island College was third with 172.375 and Wilson College score 29.275 with its only gymnast on the roster for fourth place.
Sylvestro was one of four Golden Eagles to score at least a 9.4 on the vault as
Amanda Carney (Walpole, MA/Walpole) earned a 9.525,
Gabrielle Petitto (Selden, NY/Newfield) had a 9.475 and
Haylee Garrick (Myrtle Beach, SC/Carolina Forest) added a 9.4 for Brockport.
Stephanie Schuler (Purcellville, VA/Hickory) led Brockport with a 9.65 on the uneven bars as
Elizabeth Levy (Glen Allen, VA/Hermitage) added a 9.525,
Casey Addis (Williamstown, NJ/Williamstown) scored a 9.475 and Sylverstro a 9.425 on the bars.
Lily Jagodzinski (Tonawanda, NY/Williamsville North) had the high team score on the balance beam with a 9.50 and three Golden Eagles scored at least a 9.6 on the floor.
Taryn Kateridge (Medford, NY/Patchogue-Medford) had a 9.650 on her floor routine followed by Levy with a 9.625 and
Stephanie Pastorelli (Whitesboro, NY/Whitesboro) added a 9.60 for the Golden Eagles.
