In the third inning Brockport scored another two-out run. Wesley Burghardt (Chittenango, NY/Chittenango) opened the inning with an infield single and moved to second when Bunce drew a walk. And later, with bases loaded, Burghardt came home on a wild pitch for the 3-0 lead.

He moved to third on a ground out and with two outs, Weakley singled to center field scoring Wilson and cutting the lead to 8-7.
