Hannah Rehbaum (Cheektowaga, NY/Sacred Heart) led The College at Brockport women's basketball team with 11 points, but an early run from Cortland proved to be too much as the Golden Eagles fell 78-48 on the road in a State University of New York Athletic Conference (SUNYAC) matchup.

Cortland (10-5, 6-2 SUNYAC) opened up the game on an 11-0 run, sinking 3-of-3 from the three point line and never looked back.

Anna Feller (Voorheesville, NY/Voorheesville) got Brockport (6-6, 2-3 SUNYAC) on the board with a layup at 17:43, but the Red Dragons continued to control the game.

At the 14 minute mark, Cortland started up a 12-0 run. With 9:23 remaining in the first half, Brockport trailed the Red Dragons by 23 points, 28-5.

A layup from Kaitlin Hammersley (Weedsport, NY/Weedsport) at 6:58 cut the Cortland lead to 18, but the Red Dragons answered right back. A layup from Cortland's Megan Touhey pushed the Red Dragons lead out to 25.

To close out the first half, the Red Dragons hit a last second layup, heading into halftime up 45-19.

Rehbaum opened up the second half for the Golden Eagles with a three pointer, cutting the Cortland lead to 23.

Cortland responded, going on another run. This time the Red Dragons outscored the Golden Eagles 23-5, giving Cortland a 41 point lead, their largest of the game.

Brockport chipped away at the Red Dragons in the final minutes of the game, but would get no closer than 28 points.

As a team, the Golden Eagles shot 30.6% (15-49) from the floor, 26.7% (8-30) from long range and 55.6% (10-18) from the free throw line.

Rehbaum led offensively for Brockport with 11 points and three assist. Feller added seven points, while Codi Battaglia (Webster, NY/Aquinas Institute) chipped in six. Meg Stucko (Elba, NY/Elba) recorded a team-high 10 rebounds.

The Golden Eagles return to action Tuesday night in Brockport as they take on Buffalo State in a 6pm SUNYAC matchup.
