BROCKPORT, NY - On behalf of College Sports Communicators (CSC),
Jackie Kozakiewicz and
Casey Mahony of the SUNY Brockport women's basketball team have been selected as CSC Academic All-District honorees for the 2025-26 season.
Established in 1952, the Academic All-America program honors the nation's premier student-athletes for their dual commitment to outstanding academic and athletic achievements. This prestigious recognition underscores the passion and discipline required to excel both in the classroom and on the court.
Kozakiewicz was a defensive catalyst for the Golden Eagles throughout the 2025-26 campaign. Known for her relentless intensity, she provided constant pressure on opposing ball handlers, playing every possession with a high motor. Serving as the primary option off the bench, she ranked sixth on the team in total minutes played.
Her efficiency was a hallmark of her game, averaging 5 points per game along with an impressive 77.4% from the free-throw line. Defensively, she was a consistent threat, totaling 35 steals, averaging over one per game.
Mahoney played a vital role in the Golden Eagles' rotation as a key backup forward who helped stretch the floor. Appearing in all 26 games and averaging 13 minutes per contest, Mahoney was a reliable presence on both ends of the floor.
She proved to be one of the team's most effective players on the glass, securing 84 rebounds, the fourth-highest total on the roster. Mahoney finished the season with 53 points and showcased her versatility on defense by recording 13 steals and 12 blocks.
Both Kozakiewicz and Mahony will now advance to the CSC Academic All-America ballot. First, second, and third-team Academic All-America honorees will be announced on Wednesday, April 15th, at noon.
