Senior Alexandra Marshall's (Manorville, NY/Eastport-South Manor) 12 points, including a key three point play to end the game helped The College at Brockport women's basketball team Golden Eagles hang on for a thrilling 51-50 win at Oswego in a State University of New York Athletic Conference matchup on Tuesday night.
With the win, Brockport (9-14, 5-11 SUNYAC) snapped its previous seven game losing streak.

After the opening run, the Golden Eagles also fell into a scoring slump, going on a five minute scoring drought.
With 8:18 left in the first half, Oswego pulled to within one point of Brockport. A jumper from Faith Welch (Albany, NY/Catholic Central) and a three pointer from Lisa Yacavoni (Endwell, NY/Maine-Endwell) helped put the Golden Eagles back out to a six point lead at 5:32.

Marshall tied things up with a layup at the 15-minute mark, but Oswego quickly took back their two point lead with a pair of free throws.
A key three pointer put Brockport back on top with 13:19 left to play. Minutes later, two free throws from Hannah Rehbaum (Cheektowaga, NY/Sacred Heart) gave Brockport a five point lead.
In the final minutes of play, the teams traded the lead back and forth. With just over two minutes to play, the Lakers pushed out to a three point lead, their largest of the game.
A layup from Hannalee Fordyce (Amityville, NY/Copiague) and a free throw from Marshall helped tie the game with only 40 seconds on the clock.
Oswego hit what looked like the game-winning shot with 16 seconds left, taking a two point lead, but Marshall came up huge for the Golden Eagles. Brockport executed on offense as Marshall completed a three point play with only seven seconds left in the game, leading Brockport to victory.
"I couldn't be more proud of Alex," said head coach Nicole Beauregard. "We put the ball in her hands, down two, and she did what seniors do."
Marshall led the Golden Eagle offense with 12 points. Feller added 10 points and six rebounds, while Rehbaum chipped in seven and recorded a team-high four steals.
