In the seventh inning, Pete Wilson (Rochester, NY/West Irondequoit) drew a two out walk and stole second. Gianni singled to center field to score Wilson for the go-ahead and eventual winning run. It was the first lead of the game for Brockport who out hit the Ducks 12-5 in the game. Stevens also committed six errors as the Golden Eagles had several missed opportunities leaving 11 runners on base.

Zack Melino (Rochester, NY/Gates-Chili) started and went 4 1/3 innings before Zack Lander (Rochester, NY/Churchville-Chili) took over and threw the final 4 2/3 to earn the win. The duo combined for seven strikeouts.

In game two, McCarthy scattered 10 hits and allowed just three runs while striking out seven to pick up his third victory of the season. Bradley Westling (Dunkirk, NY/Dunkirk), Nick Pontari (Troy, NY/Troy) and Kevin Harman (Penfield, NY/Penfield) combined for 2 1/3 scoreless innings of relief to close out the game.

Offensively, Brockport scored in the bottom of the first to tie the game at 1-1 but took the lead for good in the second scoring three runs.

Gianni led off the inning with a double and Colin Grande (Clifton Park, NY/Shenendehowa) singled to score Gianni and give the Golden Eagles the lead. Grande was picked off before Sean Geisel (Schenectady, NY/Guilderland) singled and Lou Mastellone (Glen Head, NY/North Shore) followed with a single to put two runners on. Kyle Tracy (Plainview, NY/Bethpage) was hit by pitch to load the bases. Burghardt hit a two-out single to left field to score a pair of runners as Brockport built the 4-1 lead.

The Golden Eagles added four more in the fifth to extend the lead. Brockport had four singles in the inning but were helped by two errors and a pair of wild pitches to score the runs.

Stevens answered back with a two-run home run in the top of the sixth inning but Brockport closed out the scoring in the bottom of the sixth with a run as Jake Kenney (Hornell, NY/Alfred-Almond) scored after an errant throw by the catcher in an attempt to turn a double play as Tracy was forced out at the plate but the throw to first was wide and went into right field allowing Kenney to score from second.
