Brockport (19-13, 8-7 SUNYAC) put together six runs on five hits and two Rochester (19-13, 13-7 Liberty League) errors to jump out to a 6-0 lead heading into the bottom of the third inning.

Corey Hamula (Elmira, NY/Elmira Southside) got things started for the Golden Eagles, reaching first on a fielding error from the Yellowjackets center fielder. In the top of the second, Anthony Barbetto (New City, NY/Clarkstown North) ripped a single through the right side to advance Brendan Swayne (Seaford, NY/Plainedge) to third and score John Craig (Clifton Park, NY/Shenendehowa) for an unearned run. Kyle Tracy (Plainview, NY/Bethpage) followed up with a big double to center field, scoring Swayne and putting Brockport up 5-0.

Hurlimann tallied his first of two home runs in the top of the third inning with a shot to right field. He followed up with another home run in the fifth to put the Golden Eagles up 7-0.

The Yellowjackets found their offense in the bottom of the fifth inning, scoring five runs and cutting the Golden Eagles lead down to two runs. Rochester took advantage of a Brockport error and a wild pitch to start its comeback.

In the bottom of the sixth, Rochester added another run to come within one run of Brockport.

The Golden Eagles pushed their lead back out to two runs in the bottom of the eighth, as Barbetto ripped a triple down the right field line to bring home Pete Wilson (Rochester, NY/West Irondequoit).

Heading into the final inning, Brockport could not add to its lead, tallying just one hit and leaving one runner on base.

With two outs in the bottom of the ninth, a Yellowjacket batter stepped up to the plate and nailed a home run to left center and scored the game-winning run to take the come-from-behind victory over the Golden Eagles.

Barbetto and Hurlimann both finished 2-for-4. Hurlimann added three runs and two RBI, while Barbetto tallied one run and two RBI. Burghardt went 3-for-5 with one run.
