Senior Kyle Tracy (Plainview, NY/Bethpage) hit a home run in each game for The College at Brockport Baseball team but not much else went right for the Golden Eagles as Brockport dropped both ends of a doubleheader to RIT as the Tigers won a 5-2 decision in the opener and a rain-shortened 11-3 game in the nightcap Friday afternoon on the Clark V. Whited Complex in Brockport.

In the opener, RIT (19-16) scored once in the first and twice in the second to take an early 3-0 lead. Brockport (25-16) trimmed the lead with a run in the bottom of the second inning and each team scored in the third as the Tigers took a 4-2 advantage. RIT capped the scoring with another run in the sixth for the final score of the first seven-inning game.

In the bottom of the third inning, Tracy led off with a home run just inside the fair pole down the right field line. It was his first homer of the season.

In the nightcap, Brockport's Justin McCarthy (Mohegan Lake, NY/Lakeland) started the game making his school-record 60th career appearance.

RIT took a 2-0 lead with single runs in the second and third innings before pushing seven runs across the plate in the fourth frame for a 9-0 lead. Two additional runs in the fifth made it an 11-0 Tiger lead before Brockport scored three times in the bottom of the fifth to trim the lead.

As soon as the inning ended, the rain started and the game was delayed for a short time before it was determined that the field was unplayable and the game was called after five innings.

All three Brockport runs came as Tracy connected on a three-run homer to right centerfield as Pete Wilson (Rochester, NY/West Irondequoit) and Sean Geisel (Schenectady, NY/Guilderland) both scored on the blast.
