BROCKPORT, N.Y. – Picking up their eighth straight win in 2017, The College at Brockport women's gymnastics team rolled Ithaca College on Saturday, 189.975-182.300.

The Golden Eagles improve to 8-0 on the season while the Bombers fall to 3-3 on the year.

Brockport continued its dominating season, taking first on every apparatus. The Green and Gold squad opened the meet strong on the vault, with a team mark of 47.050, bettering the Bombers 46.800 score.
Candis Kowalik led the way, with a a second place 9.550.
Jen Sklenar was not far behind, vaulting a 9.525, while
Stephanie Mager's vault earned a 9.400.
Marla Thomas and
Allison Hester rounded out the top five with scores of 9.300 and 9.275 respectively.

The Golden Eagles showed they could soar on the bars, turning in their season best score of 47.700, eclipsing Ithaca's 46.450. Two of the Green and Gold squad tied for first, with
Caitlin Elsadek and
Maddie O'Braitis each notching 9.625's on the event.
Meghan Cash's routine earned a score of 9.252, while Sklenar (9.500) and Thomas (9.475) rounded out the top five.

Head coach
John Feeney's squad continued their strong showing on the beam, with a team score of 47.150. Sklenar led the way on the beam, earning a meet-high score of 9.650.
Erica Roth earned her highest score of the season, taking second with a 9.525, while
Kendra Bushart and Kowalik each scored 9.475's on the event.

On their final event, the Golden Eagles turned in their highest score of the meet, with a 48.075, cruising past the Bombers 45.150. Brockport turned in the top five scores, and had six of the top seven marks. Kowalik turned in the meet-high, a 9.700, while Cash captured second with a 9.625. Mager and Sklenar each scored a 9.600 while
Brittany Vasile (9.550) and
Casey Sullivan (9.300) rounded out the top six.

Sklenar was the only all-around gymnast in the meet, the first time Brockport has seen an all-around competitor since 2013. The senior completed as an all-arounder for the first time in her collegiate career, scoring a 38.275.

The Golden Eagles will be back in action on Feb. 11 when they attend the Cornell University Invitational.
