Brockport, NY – The SUNY Brockport Baseball team will host a full weekend of action starting with a doubleheader against Fredonia on Friday at 12 pm. The team will then play a pair of games against St. John Fisher on Saturday, starting at 12:30 pm. Finally, the weekend will wrap up with Cazenovia coming to town for a 1 pm start on Sunday.

Last Time Out: Brockport went 1-1 in its last doubleheader against Oswego over the weekend. After falling 2-7 in game one, the team bounced back in a big way for the 14-2 win in game two. The Green and Gold rattled off 15 hits in the second game to help earn the win, as it improved to 4-2 overall and 3-1 in SUNYAC play. The team has now won three of its last four.
Mansell's Moonshot: In game two of the doubleheader
Ryan Mansell decided to launch one deep in the win over Oswego. It was a 6-1 game in the bottom of the third when Mansell brought
Matt O'Dair home on a two-run shot out over the right-center field wall to make the score 8-1. This homer capped off a six-run inning in the third which blew the game open for the Green and Gold.
O'Dair is Streaking: Matt O'Dair is currently riding the wave of a five-game hit streak for the Golden Eagles. It all started with a hit against Oneonta on March 27
th. He then went a combined 5-for-8 in the doubleheader against Fredonia, making it three straight with a hit. O'Dair stayed consistent at the plate with a 4-for-6 effort in the Oswego doubleheader, including four RBIs and a double, to extend the streak to five games. Matt is now hitting .556 on the season and has tallied 10 hits and six RBIs.
Bring Them Home: Jake Sisto and
Ryan Voight are both tied for first on the team in RBIs. Sisto has totaled seven RBIs, partially thanks to his team-best two home runs this season. Voight has also knocked in seven RBIs and has connected for two doubles and one homer.

Nicholas Pastore, and
Ryan Mroczka all have brought in five RBIs for Brockport so far.
On the Hill: Trevor McCarthy (1-0) nearly pitched a full game in a win over Oswego, throwing for six innings to strike out eight batters. He now has 12 strikeouts on the season, a 0.73 ERA, and has only allowed one earned run in 12.1 innings pitched.
Kyle Canavally's (1-1) 13 strikeouts is tops on the Brockport pitching staff. Early on in game one against Oswego Canavally struck out five consecutive batters. In just one inning against Oswego,
Tom Kretzler struck out the side, giving him 10 strikeouts on the year.
Against Fredonia: This is doubleheader number two between Brockport and Fredonia, as the Green and Gold won both games in the last meeting. The team scored a total of 32 runs in the first matchup, taking game one 15-2 and game two by a score of 17-2.
James Houlahan was a monster the first time out against the Blue Devils, batting 7-for-9 with two RBIs and six runs scored in the doubleheader. Fredonia has yet to play another game outside of the first doubleheader against Brockport and is 0-2 overall and 0-2 in SUNYAC play so far.
Against Fisher: The St. John Fisher Cardinals are 12-2 overall and 4-0 in Empire 8 play heading into the weekend, and are on a six-game win streak. The Cardinals have been on a tear offensively, scoring 13 or more runs in each of their last six outings. These two teams last met on April 16
th, 2019, where the Green and Gold took the 13-6 win at home. Brian Norsen and Adam Zebrowski lead St. John Fisher in RBIs, combining for 43 so far this year. RJ Kuruts (5-0) has pitched a team-high 27 innings to collect 37 strikeouts and a 2.33 ERA.
Against Cazenovia: The Wildcats won their last game to improve to 4-10 overall. Cazenovia will also matchup against SUNY Cobleskill for a doubleheader at home on Saturday, before coming to Brockport on Sunday. Miguel Rivera and Parker Wing have a total of 25 hits and 13 RBIs combined, as two of the top batters for Cazenovia. Throwing for 29 strikeouts in 27.1 innings of work, Joe DeGroot (2-2) leads the pitching staff.
Up Next: The Golden Eagles will play at home for the fourth time in a row next Wednesday, for a non-conference battle with RIT. First game of the doubleheader is scheduled for 1 pm.
