The SUNY Brockport gymnastics program is ranked No. 1 in Division III with an all-around team season average score of 189.317. Their team score of 192.275 at Ithaca on Sunday is the highest score in the nation so far this season.
Brockport's team floor season average score of 47.892 also ranks No. 1 nationally. The Golden Eagles also lead the nation on the vault with a season average score of 47.875.
The Golden Eagles rank second nationally as a team on the beam with a score of 47.042 and fourth nationally on the uneven bars with a season average score of 46.508. Brockport's school-record team score of 48.425 on the bars Sunday is the top score in the country this season.
Brockport has three vaulters ranked in the top ten nationally.
Lexi Castellaneta is currently the No. 1 vaulter in the country with an average score of 9.725.
Emma Grace Sargent ranks fifth nationally on the vault with an average score of 9.625.
Sydney Schumaker ranks ninth in the nation with an average vault score of 9.550.
Schumaker also ranks eighth nationally on the uneven bars with an average score of 9.467.
Natalie Galioto (9.550 – 5th) and
Lexi Castellaneta (9.492 – 10
th) rank in the top ten nationally on the balance beam.
Castellaneta ranks second nationally in the floor exercise with an average score of 9.733.
Naimah Muhammad ranks eighth nationally with an average floor score of 9.638.
Brockport improved its dual meet record to 4-0 on the year and they are now 2-0 against Ithaca this year. The Golden Eagles return home on Saturday when they host Rhode Island College for a dual meet at 1 p.m. Saturday will be Senior Day for Brockport, where they will honor their graduating seniors immediately following the conclusion of events.
