Kretzler struck out a total of nine batters for an 11.57 K/9 while only allowing a total of three hits.

Weekend Recap Highlights:
This past weekend the Golden Eagles finished the regular season on the road scoring two wins against Plattsburgh State including two shutouts. The Golden Eagle took the first game of the Plattsburgh series by a score of 10-0 backed by Andrew Huffman's (8-2) strong performance on the mound going seven innings while striking out seven batters on the day. His seven strikeouts helped him break the school's record for the most strikeouts in a single season which was previous 79 and held by Kyle Smith (2011). Huffman now has 83 K's this season. His eight wins this year tie him for the second-most wins in a single season in school history. If he can record his ninth win this weekend, he will tie the school's record for the most wins in a single season.

National Stats Rankings:
Huffman ranks 35th nationally with a 1.84 ERA and he's also in the top 50 in strikeouts-to walk ratio (5.93), strikeouts (83), and wins (seven). Huffman has been named the SUNYAC Pitcher of the Week three times this season.

Nationally, the Brockport pitching staff ranks ninth nationally in earned run average (3.24) and seventh in hits allowed per game (7.70). The staff ranks fourth nationally with eight total shutouts and 16th in strikeouts per nine innings (10.0).

Senior left fielder, Ryan Mansell had one of his best weekends to date when he went 7-for-13 (.538) with three RBIs and two doubles against the Cardinals. Second baseman James Houlahan went 5-for-14 (.357) with two RBIs and one run scored. Senior center fielder, Nicholas Pastore recorded four hits this past weekend with a total of five RBIs, one double, and one triple. Pastore ranks third nationally with eight triples this season.

What's Ahead: With three out of the four teams in this year's SUNYAC conference tournament ranked nationally in the Top 25 D3baseball.com Poll, it will be one of the most exciting conference tournaments in all of Division III baseball. All teams will be looking to claim the name of 2022 SUNYAC Baseball Champions and also attempt to get into this year's NCAA Division III College Baseball World Series Tournament. With the conference champions earning an automatic bid into the NCAA Tournament each team will need to bring their A+ game to show the NCAA selection committee why they deserve a spot in this year's NCAA Tournament.
