Brockport, NY- The Golden Eagles men's basketball team closes out the regular season with a pair of SUNYAC matchups at the
Jim and John Vlogianitis Gymnasium. Brockport will take on #10 Oswego State in the Play 4 Kay game on Friday, February 17
th at 7:30 pm before a Senior Day matchup with Buffalo State on Saturday at 5 pm.

Play4Kay: Friday night is the annual Play4Kay game for the Golden Eagles, as they are one of many teams around the country participating in the annual fundraiser. Started by the Hall of Famer, Coach Kay Yow from NC State, she started Play4Kay as way to bring communities together and honor cancer warriors in the fight against ALL cancers affecting women. fans to do something for the greater good that far exceeds wins and losses in competition, the Play4Kay initiative is the Kay Yow Cancer Foundation's largest fundraiser and plays a major role in the fight against cancer.

Last Time Out: The Golden Eagles fell 82-67 on the road to Oneonta last Friday, despite a season and game-high 25 points from
Tony Arnold. Oneonta rode a balanced attack led by 20 points from Graham Wooden and five Red Dragons scoring double-figures in total. Brockport salvaged the weekend with a comeback victory at New Paltz last Saturday by the score of 83-78. Despite trailing by 8 at the half, Brockport outshot New Paltz 62% to 34% from the floor in the second half to complete the comeback. The Green and Gold leaned on the dynamic trio of

Tony Arnold as they accounted for 61 of Brockport's 83 total points in the victory. Brockport sits at 18-5 overall and 13-3 in SUNYAC play following the weekend of action.

SUNYAC Outlook: Brockport has already clinched a spot in the SUNYAC tournament and can secure the two seed with a win at home this weekend in either game or a Cortland and Oneonta loss in either of their contests this weekend. Although unlikely, the Golden Eagles can jump to the one seed with wins over Oswego and Buffalo State, and an Oswego loss to Fredonia in the season finale. Â

Scouting Oswego: Oswego continues to be one of the hottest teams in all of Division 3, winners of 17 straight including a 102-62 rout of Cortland in their last outing, and are currently ranked 10
th in the nation in the latest D3hoops.com rankings. Brockport's last matchup resulted in Oswego's only SUNYAC loss of the year in a 58-47 road win for the Golden Eagles. In a defensive stalemate,

Mekhi Beckett accounted for over 60% of Brockport's scoring to secure the upset.

Scouting Buffalo State: The Bengals are seeking any positives to close out the season as they are still seeking their first SUNYAC win and are currently on a 19-game losing streak. In their first matchup with the Bengals, the Golden Eagles escaped the upset bid on the road by defeating Buffalo State 72-69. In an intense contest that featured 23 lead changes,
Jahidi Wallace was nearly perfect, dropping 27 points on an efficient 90% shooting from the floor. Buffalo State is led by sophomore guard Matt Parkinson, who averages 12 points per game and is currently 10
th in the SUNYAC in three-point percentage (40.4%).
